A naturally curious therapist who came to this work by way of literature, a decade in another helping profession, and a deep commitment to depth-oriented healing.

I began college with the intention to become a therapist for teen girls after being particularly inspired by the book Reviving Ophelia by Dr. Mary Pipher. A year into college I was spooked by a brush with my own mental health concerns that left me thinking that there was no way I could help others if I struggled, which prompted me to lean into my other interest, English Literature, switchig my major almost immediately. Of course, if you’ve ever been in an advanced lit class, you know that it quickly starts to feels like armchair psychology analyzing the motivations and personalites of each character so I wasn’t completely off course!

After college, I spent a decade running a business in another helping profession and finally regathered the courage to step back onto the path to becoming a therapist. My only regret is not doing it sooner!
